Most of the adult children I know who are estranged from their parents are blithley unaware of the stuff their grandparents did their parents and they give the grandparents a pass on things like physical abuse, sexual abuse, and abandonment.

It is this hypocrisy I find hard to stomach. If you are going to hold your parents to account, do the same with your grandparents.
