The creepy confessions I have heard from people I had counted among my friends since Barack Obama was re-elected have been some of the most disgusting and vile clap-trap imaginable.

People I had known since childhood or young adulthood felt the need to explain in painfully explicit detail, just how twisted and sick their world views are.

It was illuminating, but the only solution I found was to completely disengage because anything less than that was interpreted as acceptance.
